I.E.1 Forearm, Carpal Region & Hand: Muscles, Nerves & Vessels: Page 1 of 4

Objectives:

5.1.1 Indicate the biceps, brachialis and triceps muscles that produce movements about the elbow joint. Describe the action and innervation of each.

5.1.2 Follow the course of motor and sensory innervation from the cords of the brachial plexus to the muscles and skin of the forearm and the hand. Given a lesion to the cords or one of the branches, predict the motor and sensory deficit which would be expected in the forearm or hand.

5.1.3 Trace the flow of blood (arterial and venous) from the distal brachial artery to the elbow, forearm and hand. Demonstrate and know the collateral circulation in the elbow, forearm and hand.
