Objectives:4.3.1 Trace the flow of blood (arterial and venous) from the axillary artery to the shoulder, axilla and arm. 4.3.2 Demonstrate the known collateral (arterial and venous) connections in the shoulder and scapular regions. 4.3.3 Trace the flow of lymph into and out of the axillary lymph nodes. Identify the anatomical location of different groups of lymph nodes (whether or not they are seen on the images), their relationship to the other axillary structures, and afferent sources and efferent targets of each group. Follow the course of lymphatic drainage of the breast. 4.3.4 Observe the relationship of the venous system to the muscles of the anterior compartment of the arm and thorax. |
