Question

The semicircular canals contain fluid. What is the name of the fluid, and what is its origin?

vestibular

The utricle is connected to the semicircular canals by bulges at the ends of the canals called ampullas. The ampullas have crista which sense directional changes.

The urticle's sensory organ is the macula and it senses centrifical and vertical accelleration. The saccule has a macula that senses linear acceleration.

The saccule connects directly to the cochlear duct an allows flow of endolymph to the cochlea.
