Maxillary V2
This nerve exits the cranium via the via the foramen rotundum and enters the pterygopalatine fossa. It is the only anatomic structure to exit via the foramen rotundum.

Based on it's location, from what part of the face does it collect sensory information? |

Skin covering the side of the nose, the lower eyelid, the cheek and the upper lip. In other words, from the corner of the eye to the corner of the mouth. Not only does this branch receive input from the skin, it also receives input from the dura of the middle cranial fossa, nasopharynx, the palate, the nasal cavity and teeth of the upper jaw. In light of its orientation as it exits the skull, this makes sense. |
