Lab 1: Vascular Access and Airway Anatomy

Lesson Objectives:

During this lesson, you will complete the following tasks using both the 3D digital cadaver and the Standardized Patient:

1.1   Trace the flow of blood through the upper extremity, indicating the location of pulses.

1.2   Identify the points of vacular access in the upper extremity.

1.3   Trace the flow of blood through the pelvis and lower extremity, indicating the location of pulses.

1.4   Identify the points of vacular access in the pelvis and lower extremity.

1.5   Trace the flow of blood through the neck, indicating the location of pulses.

1.6   Identify the points of vacular access in the neck.

Using just the 3D digital cadaver, you will complete the following task:

1.7   Demonstrate the intubation of the 3D cadaver and identify the major landmarks during the intubation.
